Talespin – Musical Tales for Big and Small (follow this link to visit our dedicated homepage)

a concept from Anna Lea Stefánsdóttir & Chanda VanderHart

Talespin, an original idea of Anna Lea Stefansdottír (Violin) and Chanda VanderHart (Piano), is a combination of storytelling, music and graphic design for multimedia concert events.

The group commissions various composers to set relatively unknown fairy tales or myths from around the world to original music. In a concert format, the tale is narrated by a speaker, and accompanied by live music as well as projected visuals, also commissioned and designed especially for Talespin.

The program, currently available in either German or English, is something completely unique and highly entertaining for audiences of all ages. Throughout each Talespin performance, the multimedia nature of this cultural event captivates children while parents enjoy high quality classical compositions.

Chanda VanderHart – pianist, chamber musician, art song accompanist, vocal coach.

In 2015, Chanda celebrates 15 years living in Vienna, Austria, the music capital of Europe where she has been acquiring a solid musical education, worked with world-class musicians and singers and developed exciting music related projects.

There's nothing remarkable about it. All one has to do is hit the right keys at the right time and the instrument plays itself.
